As part of the silver jubilee celebrations, the seminary solemnly observed Ecumenical Week with daily prayers and reflections. Rev. Fr. Jacob Chanikuzhy inaugurated the event after the Ramsa, leading the ecumenical prayer and reflecting on Divine Providence that unites all as God’s children. A scripture passage from 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 was read and meditated upon.
Throughout the week, ecumenical prayers were offered after Ramsa with different special intentions. On January 20th, at 6:30 PM, Rev. Fr. Mathew Kottukappallil addressed the community on non-Catholic churches in India, recited the ecumenical prayer, and celebrated the Holy Qurbana.
The week concluded with a special ecumenical Ramsa, attended by Rev. Fr. Varghese Kanavattel, Manager of St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Kelakam, along with his wife and children. He addressed the gathering on the parallelism between the Jacobite and Catholic Churches and shared insights on ideal priesthood. The event was a profound testament to unity and spiritual reflection within the community.
