The seminary marked its Home Day celebrations with joy and unity, beginning with a solemn Holy Eucharist in the morning led by Rev. Fr. Jacob Chanikuzhy. Rev. Fr. Jojo Kuttikadan delivered an inspiring message during the homily, setting a reflective tone for the day.
The festivities officially began with a special supper at Aaranyakam at 7:30 PM, followed by a grand gathering. The III Theology students opened the event with a heartfelt prayer song, and Bro. Edwin Plathottathil extended a warm welcome to everyone present. Rev. Fr. Rector, in his presidential address, expressed his gratitude and admiration for the professors, students, and non-teaching staff for their invaluable contributions to the GSMS family.
Bro. Mathew Nedumthuruthimyalil graced the occasion with his felicitations, and the Blue group enthralled the audience with a melodious group song. Bro. Tony Kochupurayil added to the joy with his soulful solo performance. The highlight of the evening was the much-awaited prize distribution. The champions of Esperanza 2K24 were announced, with the Blue group claiming the title.
Individual accolades included Bros. Thomas Palakkapilly (Philosophy) and Ashbin Meledath (Theology) being honored as Kalaprathibhas, while Bro. Ajin Kariyattil secured the title of Individual Champion in the sports meet.
The celebration concluded on a note of gratitude, with Bro. Abin Kallarackal delivering the vote of thanks. Home Day 2025 truly captured the essence of community, talent, and togetherness.
