As part of the seminary’s silver jubilee celebrations, the entire seminary community, accompanied by twelve newly ordained priests, embarked on a memorable pilgrimage to Goa. Departing from the seminary on Wednesday, the 15th, at 2:30 PM, the group traveled to Kannur railway station and reached Goa by 2:00 AM the following day. Accommodation and meals were graciously arranged by the Pilar Fathers at their pilgrimage center.
The highlight of the journey was the Holy Qurbana celebrated on Thursday, the 16th, at the historic Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa. Rev. Fr. Jacob Chanikuzhy presided over the liturgy, concelebrated by all the priests, including the newly ordained. Rev. Fr. Patricia, Rector of the Basilica, warmly welcomed and addressed the community before the Mass.
The pilgrimage also included visits to the Se Cathedral, St. Cajetan Church, and St. Angelo's Fort, offering spiritual and historical enrichment. The day concluded with a relaxing visit to Cananguetta Beach, where the community enjoyed moments of fellowship amidst the scenic beauty.
After supper at the Pilar Fathers’ center, the group departed from Madgaon station at 10:40 PM, arriving at Kannur railway station early Friday morning, the 17th, at 6:30 AM. The pilgrimage was a profound experience of faith, unity, and joy, leaving lasting memories for the entire seminary family.
